Requirements

  • Current Texas RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum of a Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree, preferably in Nursing.
  • Preference for candidates with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN); if the Master's Degree is in another discipline, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and at least 6 graduate nursing course credits are required.
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching abilities, including maintaining current knowledge, clinical expertise, and safety in the subject area to be taught.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in a professional nursing education program.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum content effectively to nursing students, ensuring alignment with academic standards and program objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their growth into competent and ethical nursing professionals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and clinical expertise in nursing to ensure the highest quality of instruction.
