About The Position
Zurich North America is excited to announce the launch of its Associate Degree Apprenticeship Program for the Summer of 2025, which will run from June 16th through July 14th. This innovative program is designed for individuals seeking to gain their first higher education degree while simultaneously acquiring valuable work experience in the commercial insurance sector. Participants will have the opportunity to work with the F&I Claims Team, either at our Schaumburg Headquarters or in a virtual office setting. As an apprentice, you will be responsible for monitoring inbound calls from contract holders and repair facilities, processing low complexity automotive claims both over the phone and online, assisting claims adjusters in starting claims, providing assistance to vehicle owners regarding their policies, and interacting with internal business partners. This hands-on experience is complemented by targeted coursework at Harper Community College in Palatine, Illinois, or Borough of Manhattan Community College, where apprentices will earn a tuition-free Associate in Applied Science degree in either Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance or Business Management with a concentration in Risk Management and Insurance. The program is structured to allow apprentices to work full-time while attending classes part-time, with a schedule of working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and attending school on Tuesday and Thursday. Successful completion of the program will not only provide a full-time paid position at Zurich but also a Department of Labor Certificate of Apprenticeship, equipping participants with the credentials and skills necessary for today’s dynamic job market.
