We are currently seeking an Associate with 2-5 years of relevant industry experience to join our Debt Placement team in our San Francisco office. As an Associate, you will be afforded new challenges with the opportunity to develop expertise in your discipline. This position also involves a significant role in business transactions including client and investor communication, supervision of Analysts and the underwriting process, creation and execution of marketing collateral, as well as continued hands-on training.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of commercial real estate experience
  • Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates concentrating in business, real estate, finance and/or accounting
  • Proficient in financial modeling within Excel and preparing presentations within PowerPoint
  • Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills
  • Strong ARGUS, financial analysis and excel modeling skills
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently produce high quality work under tight time frames
  • Eastdil Secured requires each non-administrative exempt staff member (Analyst and above) to be licensed as appropriate real estate salesperson in California
  • Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry with a focus on real estate finance
  • Experience in commercial real estate with a focus on capital markets
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused, collaborative, and team environment

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities include start-to-finish transaction execution, collaboration with lenders and clients, and oversight of the financial underwriting
  • Working closely with senior team members and mentoring and training Analysts
  • Financial underwriting, due diligence review and transaction execution
  • Performing comprehensive and in-depth company, real estate, and market analysis
  • Preparing presentations and other materials for clients
  • Creating pitches, proposals, and marketing materials
  • Recognize and build relationships with clients and lenders that ultimately lead to new business
