About The Position
The Associate Dean is responsible for assisting the Dean in the delivery of educational programs and services through: Training faculty and staff Managing faculty and staff Monitoring and maintaining curricula Managing the delivery of educational services Overseeing and monitoring student performance The Associate Dean must have a minimum of a Master's Degree with academic experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's Degree
- Academic experience
- A minimum of forty (40) hours per week, plus other hours as may be necessary to complete job duties.
- A combination a day, evening, and weekend hours is required.
Responsibilities
- Training faculty and staff
- Managing faculty and staff
- Monitoring and maintaining curricula
- Managing the delivery of educational services
- Overseeing and monitoring student performance
- On-board and orient new faculty and staff
- Mentor program/department chairs
- Coordinate and provide faculty training
- Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to faculty
- Review student evaluations of faculty
- Conduct annual faculty performance evaluations
- Identify low performing faculty and work with program chairs and Dean to improve performance (enhancement plans)
- Monitor enhancement plans and review progress
- Assisting the Dean in developing and maintaining a campus curriculum that meets the needs of current students and the community
