About The Position

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the college's industrial education programs, focusing on manufacturing and related technology fields.
  • Oversee the FAME program, ensuring effective communication and strong relationships with industry partners.
  • Manage academic/technical programs and special grant-funded projects related to manufacturing.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the college and local businesses to ensure programs meet workforce needs.
  • Promote relationships with industry, organizations, and educational institutions to enhance program relevancy.
  • Coordinate activities with Program Advisory Committees and recommend members for appointments.
  • Lead curriculum and program development for manufacturing technology, ensuring relevance to industry standards.
  • Organize continuous program reviews to ensure effectiveness and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs, including class schedules and faculty performance.
  • Supervise and evaluate full-time and part-time faculty and staff, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for the Manufacturing Technology program.
  • Coordinate the acquisition of equipment and resources for classrooms and labs.
  • Assist in developing customized training programs for local industries.
  • Oversee lab facilities for training and educational purposes.
  • Participate in outreach activities to promote dual enrollment opportunities.
  • Prepare reports for compliance with federal and state programs.
