About The Position
WCTC is excited to announce an opening for the position of Associate Dean of the Humanities, Communication, and Social Sciences Department. WCTC is a vibrant and expanding two-year institution with a strong focus on teaching and student success. The department has experienced significant growth with the development of two Liberal Arts transfer degrees and delivers courses in most of the other programs on campus. We enjoy approximately 6,000 course enrollments per academic year. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-functioning, collaborative team dedicated to quality instruction and sustained growth. The ideal candidate will be learner-focused and use their expertise in teaching and learning to manage workloads and support faculty in their continuous instructional development. As leader of the department, you will use an innovative, collaborative team approach and actively involve faculty in shaping the direction of the department. The position is responsible for facilitating the operations of the Academic Assistance Center and requires close collaboration with leaders and other instructional managers across campus.
