The Office of Academic Affairs and Compliance (OAAC), School of Continuing Studies (SCS) is a central office responsible for ensuring the integrity of academic credentials through establishing, executing, and monitoring the academic standards and degree requirements for degree, non-degree, and non-credit programs. This includes monitoring compliance with academic, federal, and international regulations to ensure that policies and regulations are applied consistently. This office is responsible for facilitating the review of academic appeals, grievances, formal complaints, and academic/curricular concerns. This office supports approximately 10,000 students annually, confers approximately 1,200 degrees and 65 credit-bearing certificates annually, and supports academic program faculty directors and staff on all issues related to academic affairs and compliance, student appeals and grievances. The Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Compliance is responsible for the management and oversight of the Office of Academic Affairs and Compliance within SCS. This position performs work that is directly related to the mission of the institution while supporting the success of faculty, staff, and students by ensuring SCS' compliance with academic policies and federal regulations that enable academic program staff and faculty to deliver a high quality, equitable, fair, and consistent academic experience.
