We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Data Transfer, Integration & Quality to join our Data Operations Practice team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Daily security pricing of mutual funds for a large client via an exception-based process. Oversight of pricing feeds and review/approval of exceptions. Addressing ad-hoc client reporting requirements as they arise Following procedures/executing controls to ensure compliance with internal and external auditing standards Strong attention to escalation of any pricing issues that break acceptable tolerance thresholds Communicating with stakeholders inside and outside the organization Managing small team of staff level direct reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-4 years of experience preferred in financial services industry with Familiarity with various security types (Equity/Fixed Income/Derivatives)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong communicator and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize effectively when handling issues that arise unexpectantly
  • High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of total work experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with basic visualization tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily security pricing of mutual funds for a large client via an exception-based process.
  • Oversight of pricing feeds and review/approval of exceptions.
  • Addressing ad-hoc client reporting requirements as they arise
  • Following procedures/executing controls to ensure compliance with internal and external auditing standards

  • Communicating with stakeholders inside and outside the organization
  • Managing small team of staff level direct reports
  • Independently completes data entry tasks and requests from throughout the organization.
  • Fully adheres to defined processes for confirming that data processing is performed in compliance with department standards and company policy.
  • Responsible for ensuring the support teams accurate completion of daily data management activities and escalation of identified errors in compliance with data procedures.
  • Works effectively with external vendors that handle data enrichment to confirm use of correct information and with Data Governance team to confirm use of correct data points.
  • Uses long-standing relationships with these teams to negotiate and resolve issues.
  • Identifies errors in use of information and data.
  • Directly addresses findings with external vendors and the Data Governance team.
  • Expertly uses data systems and approved processes to create or amend ID numbers for customers.
  • Reviews entries and errors identified from more junior team members and provides feedback or approval to submit.
  • Analyses highly-complex data to confirm client information is correct within the database.
  • Runs reports on data sources and reviews to ensure proper data handling procedures were followed.
  • Escalates procedural errors to management and assists when addressing errors with clients.
  • Provides guidance to more junior team members and reviews their work for accuracy.
  • Provides feedback to guide performance improvement.
  • Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
