About The Position

The Data Science & Analytics Associate is an entry‑level, full‑time role responsible for supporting Chromalloy Material Solutions data transformation, analytics, modeling, and reporting efforts. This position will help convert business, engineering, and operational data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision‑making across the organization. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, self‑driven, and eager to grow within a highly technical and cross‑functional environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with SQL and enterprise systems such as SAP, Epicor, or Quantum.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms including Salesforce or Dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language used for analytics.
  • Exposure to data warehousing concepts (on‑premises or cloud‑based).
  • Ability to build dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Experience with financial, predictive, or forecasting models and comfort working with diverse data sets.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Highly self‑motivated, resourceful, and capable of operating independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • Experience working with aerospace or industrial gas turbine engine MRO datasets.
  • Familiarity with structured and unstructured data, including text, logs, sensor data, and financial data.
  • Exposure to Power BI advanced capabilities, including DAX, dataflows, and workspace governance.
  • Experience documenting technical workflows, modeling assumptions, and standard work procedures.
  • Understanding of data rights, compliance standards, or export control requirements.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate analytical insights into actions.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess operational, support, testing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) engine data.
  • Manipulate, data‑wrangle, and process structured and unstructured datasets for modeling and analysis.
  • Develop, test, train, and validate predictive and forecasting models addressing supportability, repairability, reliability, and commercial needs.
  • Build interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI or similar tools to communicate insights.
  • Document standard work, modeling methodologies, assumptions, and workflows, ensuring compliance with data rights, internal policies, and export control requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and scalable analytical solutions.
  • Support other data, modeling, statistical, dashboard, and analyses as assigned.
