Position Overview Huron is seeking an Associate to join our Data Management & Analytics (DMA) team within the Healthcare provider segment. This role supports advisory engagements focused on helping healthcare organizations define and implement effective data strategies, governance models, and data architectures that enable better patient care and more efficient operations. As an Associate, you will work as part of a project team delivering insights, analyses, and recommendations that help providers unlock the value of their data assets. This role combines healthcare domain exposure with foundational data management and analytics concepts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in consulting, healthcare analytics, data management, or related roles (internship experience may be considered)
  • Foundational understanding of data management concepts, including: Data governance and stewardship Data lakes and data warehouses Analytics and reporting Data quality and metadata
  • Familiarity with healthcare provider environments (clinical, operational, or financial data)
  • Familiarity with working with artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and use cases in analytics, including applying AI-enabled tools to support insights, automation, and decision-making
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based consulting environment
  • Willingness to travel as required by client engagements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting healthcare provider organizations (health systems, hospitals, physician groups)
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) and modern analytics tools
  • Cloud solution architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Solution Architect, Fabric Data Engineer)
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) or regulatory considerations (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Experience creating client-ready presentations and structured analyses

Responsibilities

  • Support client engagements focused on data strategy, data governance, and data architecture for healthcare provider organizations
  • Assist in assessing current-state data capabilities, operating models, and technology landscapes
  • Contribute to the design of future-state data operating models, governance frameworks, and roadmaps
  • Perform analysis related to data domains, data quality, metadata, and master data management
  • Support development of deliverables including strategy decks, operating model documentation, and implementation roadmaps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, operational, IT, and analytics stakeholders
  • Apply healthcare industry knowledge to align data initiatives with clinical quality, financial performance, and regulatory requirements
  • Stay current on emerging trends in healthcare data, analytics platforms, and cloud-based architectures
