The Data Engineer will work in our Data and Rep Technology (DaRT) organization that governs the strategy and implementation of the enterprise data warehouse and emerging data platforms. You will collaborate with partners across the firm to build the next generation analytics platform and capabilities for Charles Schwab. DaRT supports executive leadership, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams by integrating and analyzing data to help them make data-based decisions through four primary opportunities: Data Science Frameworks, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Platform and Production Support.

  • Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to design intuitive data solutions.
  • Drive the deployment of cross-functional applications and determine platform design and architecture.
  • Set the vision to build and scale machine learning and experimentation platforms.
  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise data integration solutions.
  • Partner with other developers to set the future of the Data Warehouse.
  • Perform data analysis of enterprise integration solutions to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Build next-gen enterprise data platforms and manage currency upkeep of existing platform assets.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline with a graduation date of December 2025 or earlier.
  • Workforce training certifications through coding bootcamps with a graduation date of December 2025 or earlier.
  • Ability to start full-time with the program on January 26, 2026.
  • Basic understanding of data modeling.
  • Understanding of SQL development principles.
  • Experience with algorithm design.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Familiarity with data structures.
  • Experience with data engineering, ETL, Hadoop, MongoDB, Unix, Sqoop, HiveQL, or Pig Scripting is a plus.
  • Inventiveness and eagerness to work with experimental technology.
  • Passion and interest in solving problems applying innovation and experimentation.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
