About The Position

The Logistics Growth team is responsible for driving consumer growth via Dasher & Logistics initiatives. We incubate new bets across quality & reliability, speed, selection, and affordability, then work with cross-functional teams to scale them globally to drive top-line impact. The Strategy & Operations Associate role is for individuals with an ownership mentality who enjoy getting into the weeds and really understanding some of our toughest problems, developing a solution, collaborating across the organization, and executing to bring strategies to life. In this role, you will support initiatives that focus on driving growth by giving consumers speed when it matters to them, unlocking growth through step-change quality improvements, and testing new selection and affordability bets powered by our logistics platform. You’ll form hypotheses on how to address consumer problems, test new bets to solve these problems, and then partner with product, engineering, analytics, marketing and other cross-functional teams to scale up these solutions globally.

Requirements

  • You have 1-2 years of work experience in banking, consulting, business operations, strategy, operations, technology, start-ups, or related experience
  • You’re a problem solver – you can translate high-level goals into actionable plans, and you’re excited to get new bets from 0 → 1 and then 1 → 100
  • You’re analytical – you can dive into the data, independently structure an analysis, and draw the most important insights
  • You have advanced Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets). Bonus points for SQL skills – not required to apply but you should be excited to at least learn this on the job
  • You’re a generalist – you seek exposure to different types of problems and want to try your hand at different sides of the business
  • You are a self-starter – you have a bias towards action and excel in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. You love getting things done
  • You have a Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

  • Analyze - Break down data to identify trends across different product lines and get to the lowest level of detail
  • Experiment - Use a data-driven approach and deep market knowledge to identify improvement opportunities, run pilots and make our business 1% better everyday
  • Influence - Work cross-functionally across multiple teams teams to bring solutions to life, such as Product, Analytics, Engineering, and Marketing
  • Grow professionally - This is a growing team, and there is room for professional development and to own additional scope and special projects
