As an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer within Bayer's Medical Device Cybersecurity group, you play a crucial role in securing Bayer Radiology medical devices and software against potential cyber threats. Your responsibilities include reviewing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, assessing their likelihood of exploitation, and evaluating potential impacts on the safety and effectiveness of Bayer Radiology medical devices. You will also design and develop solutions to mitigate cybersecurity risks associated with Bayer Radiology medical devices, software, and IT products. This position operates on a global scale, ensuring the security of Bayer's medical devices worldwide.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a major science or engineering discipline (e.g., Cybersecurity, Systems, Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, IT) or related field OR a Bachelor's Degree with completion in December 2025
  • Academic understanding of related engineering/scientific principles with 0-2 years of experience (in industry or with academic projects)
  • Clear understanding of cybersecurity principles (especially cybersecurity engineering)
  • Working knowledge and proven skills of PC computer operating systems, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Awareness of other technical disciplines
  • Understanding of basic tools and technologies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer focus skills
  • At least 1 year of experience in regulated medical device product cybersecurity with significant depth in multiple technical specialties and hands-on experience applying security technologies (Network Security, Encryption, Firewalls, intrusion detection, etc.)
  • Experience performing vulnerability analysis, vulnerability testing, security risk analyses, and security assessments
  • Familiarity or experience with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and associated tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus, etc.)
  • Experience with cybersecurity incident response and investigations
  • Experience reviewing security architecture and designs
  • Experience developing cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • Experience with cybersecurity regulations and standards such as NIST Framework, ISO 27001
