About The Position

The Associate Customer Service Representative provides regional customers support via telephone and other communication channels for multiple districts. This position is located in San Mateo, CA.

Requirements

  • An Associate Customer Service Representative must be able to communicate effectively with their supervisor, co-workers and the public.
  • Have the ability to perform basic mathematic functions, calculate figures, and reconcile account information.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • An Associate Customer Service Representative must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong reading and writing skills are required.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clerical experience is required.
  • An Associate Customer Service Representative must be able to effectively communicate billing protocols procedures, special programs and general field service delivery protocols.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize assignments and work in order of urgency and sensitivity

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service via all communication channels (written and verbal) addressing customer requests or inquiries concerning services, water quality and billing concerns.
  • Schedule field representatives for service calls, including turning off/on services, and respond to water quality and service disruptions.
  • Organize and schedule service delivery, billing, and collections.
  • Document work orders, respond to customer emails and update customer accounts.
  • Perform tasks associated with the daily, monthly, and all associated reports to ensure accurate accounting of operational activity.
  • Provide customers with information regarding Company programs and services.
  • Communicate with outside agencies and departments for service efforts.
  • Communicate between regional customer support center and local districts.
  • Process customer service paperwork as necessary
