Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required - preferably in Creative Writing or Journalism
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a copywriter and/or journalist or other relevant experience
  • A portfolio featuring a wide range of creative and integrated campaigns, a diversity of ideas and approaches to problem solving
  • Experience leading copywriting and editorial content across a variety of disciplines and channels is preferred
  • Deep knowledge of the creative process and what it takes to lead a creative team in delivering world-class communications and storytelling
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead all copywriting and editorial content development for Harley-Davidson globally
  • Challenge the status quo and inspire constant fresh thinking and innovation
  • Drive creative and compelling brand storytelling
  • Protect the brand identity, preserve the brand's heritage and ensure brand consistency across all Harley-Davidson communication channels
  • Lead all script development and voiceover production for brand and campaign content—owning the writing process from concept to final read
  • Collaborate closely with video editors, producers, and sound partners to guide VO direction, casting, and recording
  • Support the music selection process to ensure audio tone aligns with brand storytelling
  • Work with cross-functional partners to support the communication needs of all business units throughout Harley-Davidson
  • Ensure budgets and timelines are met, while maintaining excellence in the quality of work
  • Lead the future of omnichannel, editorial storytelling at Harley-Davidson via 'The Enthusiast' magazine and owned digital and social media channels
  • Support the growth and development of an inspired team with a culture based on ambition, openness, trust and collaboration
  • Develop and manage relationships with external creative partner expertise when required
