As an Associate Counsel, you’ll forge impactful cross-functional relationships and collaborate with colleagues to drive strategic decision-making. OPPORTUNITY HAPPENS HERE — REALIZE YOURS Alongside the best and the brightest, you will regularly: Lead high-stakes negotiations with clients and vendors by drafting and shaping sophisticated agreements including licensing contracts, NDAs, BAAs, and strategic supplier partnerships. Protect what matters most by assessing the real-world risk of handling sensitive partner and member data and advising the business on smart, secure ways to operate. Own the privacy mission by tracking how personal data moves through our products and continuously strengthening safeguards across healthcare and fintech solutions. Drive proactive risk management through scheduled privacy assessments and measurable initiatives that elevate Alegeus’s overall data-protection performance. Serve as the voice of authority, acting as the primary liaison with data-protection regulators and external governing bodies. Partner with innovators across Information Security and our AI task force, guiding cybersecurity response, governance frameworks, and responsible AI strategy for the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic, self-starter, proactive, forward-thinking, practical, and creative individual with high ethical standards.
  • A minimum of 4 to 7 years of post-law school legal experience, ideally gained in a law firm environment, with a strong preference for big law experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contracts, regulatory matters, and issue resolution is required.
  • BA/BS required.
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a state bar.

Nice To Haves

  • A blend of law firm and in-house experience is considered a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare, technology, fintech, payments, privacy regulations such as HIPAA, CCPA, and GLBA, and AI-related legal matters is preferred.
