About The Position

Join the Corporate Responsibility and New York Life Foundation team as an Associate supporting our workforce engagement programs, philanthropic initiatives, and internal systems. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate social responsibility, nonprofit partnerships, and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience (CSR, nonprofit, admin, or project management support preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with AI tools and prompts.
  • Experience with SharePoint (editing/designing sites) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agile, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Interest in philanthropy, social impact, or corporate responsibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management for the Grief-Sensitive Schools Initiative (GSSI)
  • Develop and update templates and materials.
  • Conduct and update training sessions.
  • Participate in initiative meetings and nurture key partnerships.
  • Answer questions related to the program from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain SharePoint sites and other digital resources.
  • Create and analyze reports using Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts).
  • Draft professional PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Assist in maintaining tracking systems for grants, workforce engagement activities, and program milestones.
  • Respond to internal/external inquiries related to CR programs.
  • Support the planning and execution of engagement events and initiatives.
  • Help document and refine program workflows, materials, and resources (FAQs, guides, templates).
  • Participate in internal meetings and provide logistics and note-taking support as needed.
  • Support workforce engagement efforts as needed.
  • Assist with philanthropic partnerships follow-up.
  • Conduct basic research to support Foundation or engagement programs.
  • Compile summary briefs and assist with ad-hoc tasks tied to grants and/or initiatives.
  • Provide backup support for the company store, particularly bereavement materials.
