About The Position

As an Associate Corporate Counsel, Product & Commercial at Shipt, you will support a fast-growing grocery delivery and retail technology platform. In this role, you'll provide strategic legal guidance across product, commercial, and marketing initiatives—helping us build responsibly, scale efficiently, and serve customers, retailers, and brand partners with trust and integrity. You'll work cross-functionally with teams building shopper and consumer experiences, retail tools, advertising features, and operational systems. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy lawyer who enjoys balancing product innovation with compliance and commercial strategy.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of relevant legal experience (law firm or in-house), with exposure to product, commercial, and/or marketing legal issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail, delivery, or technology companies.
• Familiarity with advertising law, consumer protection, and e-commerce compliance.
• Knowledge of contract lifecycle management or legal automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal guidance across product, commercial, and marketing initiatives.
• Advise product and engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Partner with marketing and growth teams to ensure campaigns, claims, and promotions are legally sound.
• Update contract playbooks, policy development, and scalable legal processes to support rapid business growth.
• Track evolving U.S. legal and regulatory frameworks and apply them to product and operational design.
