About The Position

Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented Associate Corporate Counsel to support Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business at the forefront of cloud computing. This Associate Corporate Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and will support the AWS Specialists & Partners team. This Associate Corporate Counsel will draft, negotiate, and advise on strategic contracts and initiatives with customers and partners. Typical transactions will range from standard contracts to complex, high-dollar-value strategic agreements. The successful candidate has excellent communication and organizational skills. They are enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. They are able to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate works well within a large legal team, but is also able to work independently. We hire attorneys with experience in a variety of practice areas, including (but not limited to) litigators, general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, technical transactions, intellectual property, telecommunications, real estate, products, regulatory compliance, and privacy. We don't expect every applicant to have experience working with cloud computing, and we are looking for candidates who are willing to learn and develop alongside our team.
