About The Position
We're seeking an innovative corporate counsel to navigate the complex landscape of AI regulatory compliance and help us develop new AI technologies. Key job responsibilities You'll be at the forefront of defining legal frameworks for innovative AI technologies, working collaboratively to create compliance strategies that balance innovation with responsible development. Your work will be critical in guiding Amazon's AI initiatives through emerging regulatory challenges. Your day will be dynamic and intellectually stimulating, involving strategic discussions with AI researchers, product managers, global legal teams, and regulators. You'll dive deep into complex regulatory landscapes, craft innovative compliance approaches, and translate technical complexities into clear legal guidance. We are a global, collaborative legal team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of responsible AI development. Requirements
- 2+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in Regulatory Law
Nice To Haves
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Standards Law
- Expertise in developing compliance approaches for emerging technological domains
- Understanding of global regulatory environments
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive compliance strategies for Amazon's frontier AI products
- Advise business leaders on novel regulatory challenges in AI development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compliance mechanisms
- Design proactive legal frameworks for emerging AI technologies
- Partner with global stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment and responsible innovation
