About the position

Inductotherm is seeking a candidate who will utilize technical skills to find innovative and unique solutions for automating industrial processes. The role involves using Electrical Engineering and programming while collaborating with experienced professionals in a multi-disciplined environment. The candidate will be responsible for programming and designing PLC controls for new equipment, maintaining and supporting existing controls installations, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and programming issues. The position requires strong skills in Allen Bradley Control Logix and Siemens S7 PLC programming, as well as knowledge of object-oriented programming, Ethernet networking, and industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for programming and designing PLC controls for new equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining and supporting existing controls installations.
  • Strong electrical/mechanical/programming troubleshooting skills.
  • Allen Bradley Control Logix and Siemens S7 PLC programming.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming; including C#, WPF.
  • Ethernet networking experience, including topology and NAT.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus and Profinet.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Must be regular in attendance.
  • Will handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BSEE or BSECE with 1-3 years' experience designing, programming industrial control systems and automation exposure.
  • Strong electrical/mechanical/programming troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming; including C#, WPF.
  • Ethernet networking experience, including topology and NAT.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus and Profinet.

Nice-to-haves

  • Foreign language skills desired.
  • Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include: Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Able to interact with all levels of management.
  • Strong presentation skills in person and on the telephone.
  • Must be able to read understand electrical schematics and mechanical prints.
