The Topps Company, Inc. is a creator and marketer of sports, entertainment, and recreational products, headquartered in New York, NY, striving to foster an enduring connection between fans and their sport heroes. Its product portfolio includes football, baseball, basketball, ice hockey, soccer, and other sports and non-sports trading cards, jerseys, hats, balls, bats, and photos. Topps Digital - Sports & Entertainment is looking for an Associate Content Producer to help grow our digital collectible mobile apps. As an Associate Content Producer, you will drive content development and execution. You will work with a team of other Content Producers, Product Managers, Designers, and Community Managers to help drive growth in the Topps Digital Collectible Apps. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR A passion for sports, specifically football (NFL). You have a connection to sports fandom and a collector’s mindset. You also have a good grasp of current sports narratives and stay up to date with the latest news so that you can create content that is timely and relevant.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail. You will be creating content in our content management system and must enter data quickly and accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills. You will be managing multiple concurrent projects, each in various stages of development. You will be responsible for meeting deadlines and ensuring that all content releases go off without a hitch.
  • Strong writing ability. You can clearly and concisely express complex sales details to users so that they understand product offerings, pricing, and mechanics. You can also speak with a voice relevant to fans and effectively market popular players and current storylines.
  • Great collaborator. You are a team player capable of clear and constant communication. With shifting deadlines and priorities, everyone needs to be on the same page, and you keep your team updated on your project statuses and are ready to pivot when changes are needed.
  • Fast learner. You are always looking to improve and grow. You can use analytics and experience to improve the content creation process over time and can independently develop efficiency improvements.
  • Service-oriented. You are dedicated to delivering a great app experience to all our users through clear communication, accurate delivery of content, and an open ear to user feedback.
  • Extensive passion and knowledge of football (NFL), including popular current players, retired legends, and future stars as well as an understanding of the collectibles market
  • 1-3 years of experience in the mobile space either in production or development
  • OR
  • 1-3 years of experience with sports or entertainment content, marketing, operations, or production
  • Experience with social media platforms and associated tools
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office and experienced in basic Photoshop functions
  • Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, or other task management tools a plus

  • Experience working on mobile games or mobile entertainment platforms a plus

Responsibilities

  • Content ideation: Generate ideas and structure for digital collectible sets that drive in-app sales and engagement. This is a fast paced and high-volume business, and we are looking for a constant flow of ideas and creativity.
  • Content creation: Gather the raw materials for the creation of digital collectibles. Choose relevant featured subjects and source the raw images that will be turned into final trading cards.
  • Content production: Enter data into our proprietary content management system to publish content directly to consumers.
  • Consumer messaging: You can clearly and concisely express complex details and ideas to users so that they understand product offerings, pricing, and mechanics. You can also speak with a voice relevant to fans and effectively market popular characters and storylines.
  • Quality assurance: Assist all team members in delivering flawless content by proofreading copy, verifying release details, and reviewing image assets.
