About The Position

We are seeking an Associate Consultant to join our Retirement Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to clients, Plan Sponsors, and participants. You will manage a dedicated book of business and build strong consultative relationships by providing solutions to complex situations and ensuring compliance with legal plan documents. Taking ownership and pride in knowing all the intricacies and details of your assigned plans will be key to your success. You will also ensure quality assurance and timely administration to meet monthly Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience listed in the job description.
  • Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa (H1B or otherwise).
  • The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with plan processing and administration, preferably nonqualified and/or defined contribution plans.
  • Experience in functional area, i.e., account management and administration.
  • Four (4) years in a client-facing role or as a lead.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through abilities.
  • High sensitivity to service and quality standards.
  • In-depth understanding of nonqualified plan processing and administration.
  • Familiarity with Infosys McCamish Systems and related products/services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a portfolio of retirement plans, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide consultative support to clients, resolving escalations and complex issues.
  • Monitor incoming workflow requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track workflow tasks and deliverable dates to meet client service standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to clarify incomplete or ambiguous requests.
  • Identify non-standard processing and outline steps for exception handling.
  • Perform quality control reviews for assigned plans.
  • Serve as backup during staffing shortages, PTO, or short-term leaves.
  • Document client-specific processes and procedures.
  • Drive process optimization and reengineering efforts.
  • Support knowledge management initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed or requested.
