Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in UI/UX design (internships or bootcamp experience included).
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a foundational understanding of the design process and a passion for user-centered solutions.
  • Exposure to user research methodologies, with an eagerness to learn how to plan, conduct, and analyze user interviews and usability tests.
  • Ability to create fundamental design artifacts, such as basic wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes.
  • Knowledge of UI design principles, including a burgeoning understanding of hierarchy, layout, typography, and accessibility standards.
  • Strong communication skills, with a desire to learn how to present concepts and advocate for design decisions in a professional setting.
  • Hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma (preferred) or similar software.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A proactive consulting and growth mindset — you are a self-starter who is hungry for feedback, loves to collaborate, and is focused on delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Support user research and discovery efforts by assisting in the collection of user data and helping to document clear design challenges.
  • Collaborate with the project team to understand client business goals and ensure your design tasks align with broader strategic objectives.
  • You will develop client-facing skills by actively participating in meetings and learning to translate client needs into design requirements.
  • Assist in design thinking workshops and working sessions, contributing to low-fidelity prototypes.
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables, including user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, under the guidance of senior designers.
  • Work closely with engineers and product managers to support the seamless implementation of designs, gaining a deep understanding of the technical constraints and possibilities of your solutions.
  • Develop your voice as a design professional, providing thoughtful input during internal reviews and growing into a reliable resource for the team.
