About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Associate Composite Mechanic to join our SAMC back shop team in San Antonio, TX. Position Responsibilities: Aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts Requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, must have composite repair experience Receives technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician Enter relevant data in aircraft logs and records.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in an aircraft composite repair role
• 3+ years of experience in aircraft mechanical composite component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts
• 3+ years of experience in aircraft structural modifications and repair
• 3+ years of experience with aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, micro bonder, vacuum gauges, heat blankets
• 3+ years of experience with aerospace technical publications
• 3+ years of experience with prioritizing workloads to maintain schedules on assigned projects
• Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload
• This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
