About The Position

The Associate Compliance Analyst (Cyber) role at Dominion Energy involves supporting the Cyber Security Compliance Group in maintaining regulatory compliance across various business units. The position focuses on evaluating technical procedures, implementing compliance processes, and assisting with compliance-related projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior compliance analysts to strengthen compliance controls and raise awareness of regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 0 to 2 years of compliance, cyber or IT audit or technology experience for Associate Cyber Compliance Analyst.
  • 3+ years of compliance, cyber or IT audit or technology experience for Cyber Compliance Analyst.
  • Basic knowledge of Cyber regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of creating and updating cyber & human performance controls for compliance requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of current security architecture best practices.
  • Basic understanding of current cyber security best practices.
  • Knowledge of internal and external auditing functions.
  • Demonstrable root cause analysis understanding and/or training.
  • Ability to create procedures and policies.
  • Ability to translate procedures into operational steps.
  • Drive to independently learn and become an expert in the evolving regulatory landscape.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree (counts as one year towards experience requirement).
  • Training in human performance failure.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining the cyber regulatory compliance program for processes, applications, and systems across business units.
  • Work with senior compliance analyst to leverage cyber security best practices and understand cyber regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with evaluation of technical procedures towards achieving compliance and reducing audit findings.
  • Implement changes and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Provide assistance in compliance-related projects requiring advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and security architecture.
  • Assist with implementation of compliance processes and procedures for systems and applications.
  • Evaluate processes for failure points and implement controls to mitigate potential failures.
  • Assist with compliance-related data requests and investigate failures in processes.
  • Develop plans for remediation or prevention of future incidents.
  • Identify opportunities for strengthening compliance controls proactively with senior compliance analyst.
  • Raise awareness of current and upcoming policies, regulations, and requirements.
