The Associate Community Banker delivers personalized client service by holding financial conversations with clients and prospects to determine their needs and provide appropriate solutions. This position is responsible for maintaining client relationships, with emphasis on First Interstate Bank's Service Commitments and in accordance with our vision and values. The role involves delivering personalized client service in person and over the phone, opening and maintaining various financial products such as consumer and basic business checking and savings accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, and consumer credit cards. It also includes performing Teller duties like check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, and accurately counting currency and coin. The Associate Community Banker may also engage in conversations about and process new consumer loan requests, identify referral opportunities to other lines of business (e.g., Home Loans, Treasury Solutions, Merchant Services, Business Banking, Wealth Management), and build client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up. The position requires completing work accurately, participating in volunteer activities and financial education efforts, and staying current on regulatory changes while demonstrating compliance with all bank regulations, policies, and procedures.
