About The Position
The Communication Coach - Hearing Impaired Associate position is designed for individuals who will work closely with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This role involves providing non-signing communication to facilitate understanding and continuity across the child's learning environment. The Communication Coach will act as a liaison between the general educational environment and the IEP team members, ensuring that the goals and objectives outlined in the individual education plan (IEP) are implemented effectively. The position requires the ability to assist in academic subjects using lesson plans and instructional strategies developed by teachers and other professional support staff.
