From prenatal screening before birth to newborn screening shortly after birth and whole genome sequencing through one's lifetime. Our goal is to provide valuable and insightful information about potential underlying genetic conditions, guiding patients and providers to improved health outcomes. We are seeking a dedicated Associate Clinical Lab Scientist 1 to join our Pittsburgh state-of-the-art omics laboratory, where you'll begin your career making a meaningful difference in patient care. Working within our biochemical and immunological analysis departments, you'll contribute to our mission of delivering precise diagnostic results that help healthcare providers improve patient outcomes. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a physical science such as chemistry, biology, molecular biology or medical technology.
A minimum of 0 to 1 year of experience working in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

Performs clinical laboratory duties to test patient samples.
Prepares specimens for analysis and organizes tests to be performed.
Prepares and properly labels reagents required for laboratory testing
Conducts analysis of dried blood spots or other human specimens to determine test outcomes.
Reviews test results, maintains legible work records, and enters findings into the laboratory information systems.
Performs routine preventative maintenance on instruments and equipment’s according to established schedule and procedure
Verifies proper instrument function by checking and calibrating lab instruments and documents data.
Records on instrument log any repairs, replacement and maintenance performed on laboratory instruments.
Abides by laboratory safety policies and procedures.
