About The Position

Our outpatient programs provide clients with opportunities to expand independent living skills while increasing their responsibilities. Clients may admit directly to the outpatient programs or based on clinical need, may step down from intensive residential treatment. At Lifeskills Delray Beach: Outpatient, we offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP) as well as an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients can live in our transitional living community, Osceola House, while attending PHP and IOP. Position Summary The Associate Clinical Director is responsible for assisting in the supervision of the entire clinical team. Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Associate Clinical Director is responsible for the accurate documentation of the facilities treatment process. The Associate Clinical Director of Clinical assists in the managerial oversight of the program, its patients and providers. The position maintains compliance with all DCF requirements, CARF compliance and applies best-practice standards and research-based therapeutic modalities to the program.

Requirements

  • Position requires a Master’s Degree, PhD, PsyD, EdD or a Master’s Degree; license or working toward license (MFT, LPC, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) in the state of Florida.
  • Position requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, preferably with clients with mental health and substance use disorders, strongly preferred.
  • Position requires a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

  • Clinical Knowledge – acquires and maintains a working knowledge of current theory and evidence-based practice. Proactively seeks supervision, consultation and continuing professional development to ensure knowledge and skills are maintained relative to position and clinical program delivery.
  • Cultural Competence – continuously strives to provide client-centered, culturally competent care, recognizes, and affirms cultural and linguistic diversity through therapeutic alliances and ongoing professional development.
  • Screening and Assessment – engages clients and members of the client support system, as appropriate, in screening and assessment to develop individualized, client-centered, evidence-informed care plans. Leverages established screening tools for psychosocial, pain, domestic violence, substance use, self-hard, and distress assessments, among others.
  • Care Planning and Intervention – develops and implements evidence-informed care plans that promote clinical excellence throughout the client-centered continuum of care. Care plans outline necessary steps, identified collaboratively with the care team, to achieve objectives identified in the biopsychosocial assessment. Leverage evidence-informed, clinically excellent treatment interventions.
  • Advocacy – advocates for the needs and interest of clients and families to promotes clinical excellence through improved outcomes, access to care, and service delivery. Participates in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing client outcomes and strengthening clinical service delivery.
  • Interdisciplinary and Interorganizational Collaboration – promotes cross functional collaboration among team members and referral partners to support and enhance clinical service delivery and support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the necessary activities which bring services, agencies, resources, or people together towards the achievement of treatment goals.
  • Fully understands the policies and expectations associated with the on-call responsibility. Available to effectively respond to all calls.
  • Associate Clinical Director will be assigned caseload up to 8 clients. Associate Clinical Director acknowledges that this number is subject to change as census dictates.
  • Makes presentations and lectures to the clinical team as directed by the Clinical Director.
  • Participates in individual and group supervision as per policy and integrates direction from supervisor into clinical practice.
  • Upon the absence/delegation of the Clinical Director, the Associate Clinical Director will engage in various leadership roles including, but not limited to Administering morning clinical meeting Running the weekly clinical treatment review meeting Providing clinical audits and analysis Giving programming input and feedback Providing direction, supervision to clinical staff
  • Provides Clinical Supervision to psychology interns and other staff, as requested by the Clinical Director
  • Provides battery of psychological tests to Lifeskills residential clients.
  • Ensures clinical program is in compliance wth DCF, CARF, and organization policies.
  • Annually reviews the Policy & Procedure Manual in reference to clinical programs (with Executive Committee & Medical Director)
  • Functions within the guidelines of the facility’s Code of Ethics and in accordance with corporate compliance.
  • Represents the program within the community at local, regional, and national eating disorder-oriented events.
  • Assists in promoting and ensuring the organization’s values, mission, goals and objectives are understood and actively supported by the employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
