About The Position

The Associate Clinical Consultant at Johnson & Johnson's Abiomed division is responsible for demonstrating the value and impact of the Impella® product portfolio to healthcare professionals. This role involves advising Interventional Cardiologists and Surgeons on patient selection, providing training, and attending implant procedures. The consultant will work closely with the commercial team to ensure positive patient outcomes through education and support.

Requirements

• 2+ years of direct RN or tech patient support in an ICU highly preferred.
• Direct patient support experience in a Cath Lab or OR.
• Availability for emergent patient care.
• Ability to travel 50% within territory.
• Conduct duties in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on Impella support experience.
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
• Experience as an Abiomed per diem highly preferred.
• RN License strongly preferred.
• ECMO experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to advocate with physicians.
• Experience delivering clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the value and impact of the Impella® product portfolio to physicians and hospital staff.
• Advise Interventional Cardiologists and Surgeons in patient selection and provide training.
• Attend implant procedures and consult with medical staff on appropriate use of Impella® devices.
• Collect clinically relevant data and document trip results, communicating activities with team members and sales counterparts.
• Collaborate with sales counterparts on awareness programs and activities in the franchise.
