The Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator works under general and direct supervision to perform the various routine and complex clerical duties as defined in department operating procedures or supervisory instruction. Will work in a team environment and will be required to handle a high volume of transactions with a high level of accuracy. The Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator is responsible for verifying eligibility for all patients having appointments at all clinics, or having services at outside facilities, contact new patients and existing patients to ascertain current insurance information and account information and determine if the various forms are current. The duties and responsibilities require advance knowledge of insurances, AIR knowledge and in-depth understanding of registration policies as noted in the Registration Manual. This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 4:30pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 10425 Enterprise Drive Redlands, CA. We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule. Training will be conducted onsite, after completion of training period candidate can work remotely.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED OR equivalent years of experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting working in registration and health insurance
  • Experience with Windows based programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 4:30pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and benefits and making appropriate update as needed
  • Notifies supervisor of trends in information from insurance companies regarding eligibility and benefits
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of entity records that need to be combined or deleted
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of retro terms when claims need to be re-billed to current insurance
  • Follows all department procedures relating to new and established patients
  • Ensures adherence to process as dictated by policy, procedures, and the registration manual
  • Contacts patients for current insurance information
  • Notifies clinic if patient has termed and no new insurance information is available
  • Other duties as assigned
