About The Position

As an Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator at Optum, you will play a crucial role in managing requests for services from members and providers, working closely with hospitals, clinics, and the clinical team. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work during normal business hours, which are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There may be occasions where overtime is necessary to meet business needs. You will receive 4-6 weeks of on-the-job training, with training hours aligned to your schedule. As a telecommuter, you will need to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy, ensuring that all company-sensitive documents are kept secure and that you have a dedicated workspace that provides information privacy. In this role, you will manage the referral process, which includes processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations. You will also handle inquiries and resolutions from members and providers, ensuring that all requests are addressed efficiently and effectively.
