About The Position

Monticello Associates, LLC is an investment consulting firm serving foundations, endowments, and family office clients in an investment advisory capacity. The firm is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with additional offices in Cleveland, Ohio, Washington, D.C., and Boston, Massachusetts. Our firm provides clients with manager due diligence and selection, asset allocation strategy recommendations, performance reporting, and all other necessary functions required to support clients in their role as fiduciaries. The firm seeks an experienced Associate, Client Administration to support the Consulting team. Candidates must be polished and professional; show initiative and high energy proficiency for administrative work; and be methodical with excellent attention to detail. It is critical that the CA be a self-motivated “utility player” who is comfortable juggling multiple projects and is eager to foster and deepen relationships—not only with clients, as well as fund managers, but also within Cresset—in order for Cresset to best serve its clients and continue to grow as successfully as it has since its inception. In addition to these core responsibilities, the CA may also be involved in supporting key initiatives and campaigns, ad hoc projects, and other efforts at both the Consulting team and firm level. This position requires an enthusiastic, highly motivated, adaptable, and dependable candidate comfortable operating with elite professionals in a high intensity, fast-paced environment. Collegial collaboration and excellent communication with colleagues is a must, as is problem-solving and—most importantly—a client-first mentality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of administrative experience supporting management level professionals, ideally within the financial services industry, representing the department with a polished professional presence and excellent communication skills
  • Experience making travel arrangements with an agent to coordinate airlines, hotels, and ground transportation
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, including using Outlook to manage multiple calendars and contact lists, as well as Adobe
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint to produce polished presentations
  • Excellent time management and organization skills including the ability to prioritize, support, and anticipate the needs of several team members with initiative and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrates consistently positive interpersonal interactions with internal business groups and external partners with confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple calendars, email communication, and travel arrangements; maintain itineraries for the Managing Directors
  • Follow up with analysts and consultants in multiple departments and in multiple nationwide locations to complete client deliverables
  • Keep current Outlook contacts up to date with business and personal contacts
  • Manage the database by entering contacts and relationships and tracking all correspondence and meeting activity
  • Prepare documents including drafting correspondence and presentation packaging (including binding and working with Director to finalize and ship presentation materials)
  • Order and document all subscription document requests for client investments
  • Maintain department documents, both electronically and hard copy, including organizing folder structures in the document management system in accordance with document retention procedures
  • Maintain inventory of office items and order as necessary
  • Provide phone coverage for the office
  • Set up Zoom/Teams calls, prepare rooms for meetings, greet visitors for meetings
  • Prepare and submit expense reports for team members
