About The Position

UTA seeks an experienced associate to join its Finance Client Accounting team. The Associate, Client Accounting will be assigned a UTA department and will serve as a point person for all accounting issues related to that department. The Associate, Client Accounting will be responsible for working closely with agents, assistants and clients to capture timely and accurate information in a GAAP-compliant accounting environment. On a day-to-day basis, this role will review and modify existing bookings with agents and assistants as necessary to reflect updated contractual information, process daily payment for clients and their teams and track travel expenditures per event. The Associate will establish and monitor quality metrics and continuously seek improvement in the process of tracking client data. The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of any accounting experience preferred
  • Entertainment experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a customer service focused role preferred
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motived and tenacious; to be successful, the role requires persistence and follow-up
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • Thorough attention to detail and ability to handle very high volume of transactions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • General understanding of fundamental accounting principles
  • Solid relationship-building skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels (including management)
  • High-energy level and a strong work ethic. Self-starter with the ability to work independently but also collaboratively
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to processes and procedures while working in a very fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial & enterprise systems such as NetSuite and or FileMaker Pro preferred

Responsibilities

  • Meet with assigned agents regularly and their assistants weekly to ensure complete and accurate booking data and reports
  • Help onboard new clients to ensure complete and accurate data.
  • Ensure client payments are processed quickly and accurately and in compliance with all legal and tax requirements.
  • Liaise with clients and agents directly on invoices, statements, debits, tax matters, and any account questions/concerns they may have.
  • Enter, modify and maintain client bookings and review data for accuracy and completeness while taking into account revenue recognition standards
  • Coordinate with counterparts at other companies as necessary to complete client onboard details
  • Liaise with teams to process and reconcile purchase card travel expenses and event service provider payments
  • Provide regular reporting and reconciliations to assist in month-end closing
  • Provide regular reporting to agents to facilitate forecasting, collections, and insights into client performance
  • Coordinate with the Cash Management team as necessary to ensure payments are applied to the correct booking
  • Generate yearly 1099NEC and 1099MISC reports for filing
  • Provide exceptional customer service to agents, clients and other stakeholders
  • Understand accrual accounting, contracts administration, and systems to identify opportunities to improve the client booking process
  • Build long-term relationships based on trust and confidentiality
  • Assist with ad hoc requests
