Our office in Lincoln, RI is looking for an Associate Claims Support Representative who will provide exceptional customer service, based on departmental procedures. The individual selected will meet and strive to exceed service goals and foster a team approach for support of the internal and external customer.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Able to use a personal computer, mouse and keyboard with proficiency
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Able to stoop, bend, reach, and lift 10 pounds or less
  • Able to sift and sort up to 6,000 pieces of paper per day
  • Effective active listening skills
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and the ability to learn on the fly
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • May be asked to process limited administrative tasks at the request of claims handlers in accordance with company policy and licensing requirements
  • May be asked to open and distribute incoming mail and/or process outgoing mail
  • Transfers correspondence received via fax or e-mail to claim files for appropriate handling by claims personnel
  • Performs various administrative tasks to support claims printing including replenishing of paper in printers, copiers and fax machines, facilitating service calls and ensuring ample funds in postage machines
  • Depending on branch needs, may be asked to greet customers and/or receive deliveries
  • Builds favorable working relationships with all employees and helps to maintain a strong culture of collaboration, communication, and service
  • May be called upon to handle other duties as required
