POSITION: Corporate and Investment Banking Associate – Credit NBFIs Associate will cover non-bank financial institutions and have the opportunity to gain exposure to various sub-sectors, products and client groups as well as work closely with the Investment Banking origination team. Preference given for credit experience with insurance carriers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and 3-5 years of relevant credit and industry experience, with a combination of strong financial/analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Successful candidates must have the capacity to become adept at financial modeling and be able to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed high quality credit submissions for clients in the Financial Institutions sector, which will detail risks and mitigants and include a review of financial performance and key metrics, as part of a team.
  • Research and analyze clients’ financial situations, industry and market data;
  • Construct and sensitize detailed financial models that help evaluate key credit metrics, financial covenants, and sensitivity to key variables;
  • Compile data through due diligence and prepare comprehensive credit reviews that analyze transactions and client risks;
  • Assist with deal negotiations and documentation; and
  • Interact with clients and credit adjudicators.
