Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Adult Academic Health Center’s leadership team in the role of Associate Chief Nursing Officer. The Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) will be a transformational leader that supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to achieve the mission, vision, and values of IU Health and advance contemporary nursing practice. This leader creates a productive environment and ensures the delivery of safe, timely, efficient, effective, equitable and patient-centered care. The ACNO partners with the CNO to create/maintain cultures of nursing excellence. The incumbent must articulate and embody the IU Health Way and lead through the IU Health Values of Team, Purpose, Compassion, and Excellence. This leader will be responsible for achievement of organizational outcomes on the IU Health Promise Dashboard, quality and safety improvement, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. The ACNO supports the CNO in cultivation of evidenced based decision making in clinical and leadership initiatives, shared leadership structures, professional practice models, and continual process improvement. The ACNO advocates for a learning environment through the implementation of evidenced based practice and clinical inquiry. This leader maintains a working knowledge of current clinical practice, regulatory requirements, and Magnet or Pathways standards impacting clinical environments. The leader needs novice knowledge of healthcare economics and policy as well as the ability to maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organization and must desire to engage in local and regional professional activities through professional organizations.
