Charles Schwab Trust Bank (CSTB) provides trust, custody, trading, and technical services to retirement plan sponsors, advisors, and their agents. Cash Operation's goal is to meet the needs of CSTB by providing superior client service as it relates to the processing of incoming and outgoing cash activity and all associated regulatory reporting. The Cash Management Team is responsible for processing contributions, sending wires, reviewing ACHs, and daily communication with various departments. Additionally, a major objective is to process significant cash activity for CSTB while maintaining proper controls to mitigate risk to the firm. The associate position will be responsible for processing contributions into clients' accounts, responding to various departments inquires or requests on transactions processed by the team, and the daily maintenance of clients' accounts. Extreme attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are vital to be successful in this position. You must be able to meet individual deadlines but also work as a team and communicate effectively with various departments. This position also requires a strong knowledge of Excel and analytical skills. You will also be responsible for supporting various administrative and clerical tasks in support of the team's deliverables. Following procedures is a must to successfully comply with the departmental controls surrounding the job functions. Retirement industry and accounting experience are a plus, although not required.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • This position may require overtime during critical production periods.

Responsibilities

  • Opening daily mail and other clerical duties in office
  • Processing checks received daily
  • Quality control of operational transactions
  • Initiating and releasing wires
  • Researching incoming electronic deposits
  • Correspond with Client Service partners to verify transactions
  • Handling cash transfers, loan pool adjustments, etc.
