Requirements

Available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
2+ years previous buying experience strongly preferred
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office required (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Professional and timely with internal and external communication
Strong mathematical skills required
Ability to lift and move inventory as required (boxes can weigh 30+ lbs)
Process-driven and detail-oriented
Able to work effectively in a cloud-based inventory management system
Basic understanding of retail buying principles, inventory management, and best practices
Self-driven, comfortable making decisions and standing by them
Proficient using vendor-based order management sites (B2B websites)
Able to follow a budget
Supports all Fleet Feet initiatives, activities, and functions

Responsibilities

Purchase and manage inventory by having a clear understanding of store and customer needs.
Buying decisions will be based on product selection, price points, and inventory levels.
Curate an assortment of products that engage and empower your local customer base.
Place weekly fill-in orders, future orders, and handle special orders.
Ensure core products and sizes/quantities are always available.
Lead training and product education sessions for staff, and also communicate drop dates, selling points, sell-through strategy, store performance, product launches, and sales numbers.
Collaborate with our vendor partners and establishing positive relationships with tech reps and sales reps.
