About The Position

The Department of Medicine has an opening for an Associate Business Manager position for the Center for Healthcare Value and Equity ( CHVE ) and Section of Community & Population Medicine ( CPOP ) of the Department of Medicine. Under the broad supervision of the Business Manager of the Department of Medicine and the Director of the CHVE , incumbent will provide fiscal leadership, financial strategic planning, budgetary oversight and management of day-to-day operations for both the Center and Section. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: manage and provide oversight of external contracts/grants/Work Order for all fiscal activities; oversee and maintain high fidelity quality assurance for all fiscal activities and financial reporting for the CHVE . Support the Director and Associate Director of CHVE in working with LSUHSC counterparts, external partners, contractors, and funders, to ensure consistently high performance and accuracy in all financial and reporting. Responsible for timeliness and accuracy of financial processes and reports. Incumbent will also provide professional level administrative support for all business aspects of the Section of Community & Population Medicine , including management of daily operations and financial functions. The incumbent will be responsible for adhering to all relevant rules, regulations and procedures while driving efficiencies and maximizing resources in support of the DOM , SOM , and LSUHSC’s mission. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that all expenditures are within available sources of funds and are appropriate for the projects and source of funding. All duties will be accomplished with a high degree of independence, timeliness, confidentiality and initiative.
