As an Associate Business Manager on the Numeric COO team, you will be working closely with our COO and the team to support various functions of the business unit. This team plays a crucial role in organizing the Investment engine objectives and collaborating with all stakeholders within Numeric and the broader Man organization. Your daily tasks will be diverse, primarily focusing on project management, coordinating meetings and materials, organizing current business and strategic initiatives, and ensuring that the general needs of the business are met. A solid understanding of investment management and the operations of an investment management organization will significantly contribute to your success in this role. The responsibilities of this position will include leading projects of varying sizes and complexities, which will span multiple departments and primarily support technology and investment-related initiatives. You will also be responsible for identifying areas for business process improvements, suggesting and coordinating changes, and building an understanding of operational risk. Data entry and organization will be part of your duties, including supporting terms and agreements with legal, tracking operational risks, and managing project tracking. In addition to project management, you will prepare for and coordinate meetings, providing support and follow-ups as necessary. The role will also involve handling ad-hoc requests that arise within the COO team, requiring a flexible approach to changing priorities and objectives. Your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with key stakeholders will be essential in this fast-paced environment.
