Entry Level Biomedical Technician Position Overview This is an entry-level biomedical technician role perfect for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in the field. The position focuses on testing medical devices and performing minor maintenance services. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with flexible shift options of either 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 0-1 years of experience
  • High attention to quality and detail
  • Compliance with all applicable standards (SOPs and work instructions)
  • Good decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on results
  • Aptitude for learning biomedical systems (like OneTrack) and device testing software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • The position requires a strong commitment to McKesson's i2Care and iLead principles, promoting a customer and patient-centric culture.
  • The Associate Biomedical Technician is expected to participate in business growth initiatives, productivity improvement, and demonstrate boundaryless teamwork by assisting in any function within the Biomed Center.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on biomedical equipment
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe service environment
  • Meeting individual and department productivity goals
  • Managing inventory processes and utility technician responsibilities
  • Completing all required training as directed by leadership
  • Communicating with vendors and customers professionally when needed
