Job Description: The Associate Banker will be the first point of contact for customers, both in person and over the telephone. The Associate Banker provides superior customer service, in a friendly and courteous manner.

Requirements

Customer Service & Cash Handling: 1-2 years
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent math skills.
Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.
Thorough understanding of customer service.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working directly with the public preferred.

Responsibilities

Cashes checks and disburses funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals.
Accepts deposits, confirming accuracy of transaction.
Prepares, verifies, and issues cashiers’ checks.
Enters transactions in bank’s recordkeeping system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts.
Calculates daily transactions using appropriate technology.
Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts.
Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiable instruments and confidential records.
Answers customer inquiries and refers customers to appropriate personnel.
Provides information and answers questions regarding bank products, services, interest rates, fees and bank policies.
Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote new banking services.
Other duties as assigned by branch management.
