This role involves collaborating with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities and grow customer relationships beyond personal banking. As a lobby leader, the Associate Banker welcomes and guides customers, offering advice on digital and self-serve options, and providing personal banking and investment advice. Key responsibilities include executing customer transactions, reviewing customer profiles for opportunities, and addressing everyday banking and credit card needs. The Associate Banker contributes to branch business results and customer experience, supports operational activities such as inventory management and application follow-ups, and acts as a key member of a collaborative team. The role requires understanding customer needs, integrating marketing promotions, ensuring accuracy, and continuously improving the customer experience. The Associate Banker may work at multiple branches or through various channels with a flexible schedule. They are responsible for adhering to risk and compliance processes, safeguarding customer assets, maintaining privacy, and acting in the customer's best interest. This includes staying current with the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environments, ethical requirements, and personal banking products and trends. The role also involves identifying and reporting suspicious activity related to money laundering, complying with legal and regulatory requirements, and protecting the Bank's assets. The Associate Banker completes complex tasks, analyzes issues, escalates as required, and applies BMO's Risk Management Framework to make sound, risk-informed decisions.
