The Associate Banker delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their financial needs and providing advice and guidance on suitable financial solutions. Key responsibilities include welcoming and guiding customers in the branch lobby, advising on available digital and self-serve options, and conducting client conversations to recommend alternative banking channels and provide personal banking and investment advice. The Associate Banker also handles customer transaction-based needs, reviews customer profiles for potential opportunities, and addresses everyday banking plans and credit card needs. The position contributes to meeting branch business results and overall customer experience, supports operational activities such as inventory management and escalated service requests, and acts as a key member of a collaborative team. It requires probing to understand customer needs, integrating marketing promotions, organizing information for accuracy, and proactively improving the customer experience. The role may involve working at multiple branches or through various channels with a flexible schedule. Adherence to risk and compliance processes, safeguarding customer assets, maintaining privacy, and upholding ethical requirements are crucial. The Associate Banker must stay current with the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environments, and personal banking products, practices, and trends, including identifying and reporting suspicious activity related to money laundering.
