This is a part-time 20 hours a week position. The Associate Banker delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying their needs and providing advice and guidance regarding financial solutions. This role involves working collaboratively within the branch and through various channels with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives, including identifying referral opportunities to grow customer relationships beyond personal banking. As a lobby leader, the Associate Banker welcomes and guides customers, offering advice on available digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast. They conduct client conversations about banking services, recommend alternative banking channels, and provide personal banking and investment advice. The position requires meeting customer transaction-based needs, reviewing customer profiles, and engaging in needs-based conversations to identify opportunities and address everyday banking plans and credit card needs. The Associate Banker contributes to meeting branch business results and enhancing the customer experience, supporting operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, following up on customer applications, filing, and opening/closing activities. They act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team, probing to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs, and integrating marketing promotions into conversations to provide strategic advice. The role demands organizing work information for accuracy and completeness, taking initiative to personalize customer experiences, and contributing to ongoing improvements in the overall customer experience. Associate Bankers may work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs, with a work schedule that may differ from week to week in terms of days worked, hours, and shifts. They must adhere to risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard customer assets, maintain privacy, and act in their best interest. This includes staying current with the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and ethical requirements, maintaining knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends, and identifying/reporting suspicious activity related to money laundering. The Associate Banker is responsible for complying with legal and regulatory requirements, protecting the Bank's assets, completing complex and diverse tasks, analyzing issues, determining next steps, and escalating as required. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed, and the role requires applying BMO's Risk Management Framework to make sound, risk-informed decisions that align to business strategy, protect assets, and adhere to applicable policy documents, laws, and regulations.
