About The Position

The Law Offices of Michael J. Gurfinkel, Inc is a well-established immigration law firm headquartered in Glendale, CA, with branch offices in San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, and an administrative office in Makati, Philippines. We are seeking an associate attorney for our Glendale, CA Office. Our firm has been in business for over 30 years, and we pride ourselves that most of our staff have been with us for 10, 15, or even 20 years, as we continue to grow with increased caseload with global clients.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' extensive experience in all immigration law areas, including removal/deportations, AOS interviews, family and employment based petitions, and consular processing.
• Graduated from an accredited law school.
• In good standing with an active California State Bar license.
• First-time bar taker.
• Self-motivated and willing to take feedback.
• Strong and collaborative work ethic.
• Knowledge of MS Suite and immigration software, such as INSZOOM or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple immigration cases.
• Handle a minimum of 100 case load.
• Work collaboratively in a smaller team environment.
• Communicate succinctly with clients and team members.
• Show accountability in managing cases and paralegals.
• Travel outside the Los Angeles area for appearances.
