About The Position

Lippes Mathias LLP seeks an ambitious mid- to senior level attorney with at least 5 years of experience to work directly with the Firm’s Environment and Energy Practice and Insurance Recovery, Counseling & Litigations Teams in our Buffalo, Clarence, or Rochester offices. Our environmental and insurance practices are nationwide in scope, with sophisticated clients that include developers, contractors, financial institutions, energy companies, manufacturers, private equity funds, Indian tribes, state agencies, and municipalities. Our teams, which include both lawyers and environmental engineers, advise on the full spectrum of environmental issue areas, and represent our clients before Congress and federal and state agencies and in the courts.
The ideal candidate should have environmental regulatory (e.g., NEPA, CWA, CAA, ESA, RCRA), transactional, claims, and remediation/contamination-related experience. Strong communication skills, legal advocacy skills, and writing skills are required. Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are required. The attorney selected for this position will have the opportunity for immediate, direct client contact.
A New York bar license is required.
Salary range dependent on experience: $110,000 - $140,000
The pay range provided in this listing is a good faith estimate for this position based on the location that we are hiring for. Criteria included but not limited to, skill level, education, and experience, will determine where a candidate falls within the range.

Requirements
