About The Position

The Albany Office of Lippes Mathias is seeking an ambitious attorney with one to three years of experience for an Associate position. The current practice covers a broad array of areas within the public sector labor field, with a focus on representing law enforcement unions. Work will include disciplinary and contract grievances, administrative hearings, membership interrogations, improper practice proceedings before PERB, supporting collective bargaining/contract negotiations, and litigation in state and federal courts. Excellent legal advocacy skills, analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills are required. The attorney selected for this position must be a self-starter and will have the opportunity for immediate, direct client contact. A New York bar license is required. Experience in administrative hearings or other comparable court proceedings is preferred. A background in representing labor unions, although not required, is preferred. Salary range depending on experience: $105,000-$125,000/year The pay range provided in this listing is a good faith estimate for this position based on the location that we are hiring for. Criteria included but not limited to, skill level, education, and experience, will determine where a candidate falls within the range.
